Orientation is required for all students and must be completed before you can be registered for courses in the upcoming term.
GNTC's New Student Orientation is intended to provide you with the information needed to complete your coursework and is required before you can meet with an advisor to get your course schedule. Topics covered during orientation: student email, MyGNTC, financial aid, DegreeWorks, Accessibility Services, Emergency Alert, and other support services.
MyGNTC is the Student Information System at GNTC. MyGNTC can be used to view your academic grades, check your financial aid status, and print your schedule and your unofficial transcript. Your MyGNTC can be accessed through your OKTA account.
You can check your admission status in your enrollment portal. Once all of your checklist items have been received and processed, you will be accepted. This acceptance notification will appear in your enrollment portal along with instructions on what to do next.
You do not have to be accepted before you apply. Applying for financial aid can be overwhelming. GNTC students are encouraged to apply for financial aid as soon as possible.
Students will need to contact their high school counselor to get this process started. Qualified students can maximize their education and training time by beginning college while they are still in high school. Dual Enrollment allows high school students to take academic degree-level core courses that will transfer to any TCSG or USG college or university as well as occupational courses and diploma-level core courses.
Required documents for Admission can be turned into any of our six campus help centers or uploaded into your GNTC enrollment portal.

Graduates of secondary schools or colleges outside the United States must have his or her transcripts translated and evaluated for equivalency by an approved evaluation organization or meet accreditation as specified in the approved list of agencies. The cost of the translation and evaluation of the student’s transcript is the responsibility of the student. The evaluation report must be received by the Office of Admissions directly from the evaluation organization and may not be submitted by the student directly. If a foreign secondary transcript is not attainable, possession of a GED® is acceptable. All foreign transcripts must be translated and evaluated. Please call our Admissions office for accepted credential agencies at 1-866-983-4682.
Prospective students must meet the state-approved admissions requirements as outlined for all students. You will need to furnish an official English translation and evaluation of secondary records and transcripts showing passing scores on native secondary school examinations and completion of the equivalency of a United States secondary school education. If the high school or secondary transcript is unavailable, the student may take the GED test and submit official GED test scores indicating that the student has passed the GED test.
